January saw the start of a new course for Premier Alliances employees to help them better utilize different aspects of technology, including laptop computers and smartphones.
Developed and led by Dawn Hobson, our Education Program Manager, this nine-week course was created following a survey of employees that found many of them had a desire to improve their skills with everyday technology. Held in the Education/Conference Center on our Bisbee Campus, the course will follow the interests of its participants, with its first class focusing on exercises helping them to become accustomed to using a trackpad instead of a mouse.
Future classes will cover common programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, adaptive options within programs like web browsers, and how to take advantage of the many capabilities of their smartphones.
