BISBEE – Continuing our mission to improve the lives of people with disabilities, Premier Alliances, Inc. presented the Bisbee Unified School District with a check for nearly $10,000 to provide supplies for their Exceptional Student Services classrooms.
Premier Alliances approached Dr. Chris Granger, the director of instruction for the district, about the donation earlier this year. The district’s special education teachers were asked for a list of items and resources they needed in their classrooms to support their efforts, and after a review by Premier’s Board of Directors, the entire list was funded in the amount of $9,920.14.
Among the items that will be purchased with the funds are laptop computers, calculators, instructional software, whiteboards, binders, fidget tubes, yoga balls and more.
The donation comes after a similar financial gift was presented to the Sierra Vista Unified School District in February. That donation supplied nearly 20 special education classrooms with items like computers, reading and writing materials, educational games, sensory stimulation items like kinetic sand, and more, all selected by the teachers themselves as items needed to reinforce their efforts.
These and future donations are part of Premier Alliances renewed effort to support our community partners who share our goals of supporting people with additional needs in Cochise County and beyond.
